Tailoring Process

Whether it’s your first fitting or your fiftieth, we make every step simple, professional, and personal. Here’s what to expect when bringing your garments to Twelve Tailoring.

Step 1: Book Your Appointment

Schedule your fitting online or by phone. We’ll confirm your time and any details about your garment so we can provide dedicated attention during your visit.

Step 2: Consultation & Pinning

During your appointment, we’ll discuss price, your needs, pin and mark your garment, and make expert recommendations for the best fit.

Important: Please avoid bringing dirty or heavily worn clothes. For brand-new garments, we recommend washing and drying them before your fitting to ensure the most accurate alterations.

Step 3: Tailoring Begins

Your garment is carefully handled by our experienced team. Every stitch, seam, and adjustment is done with precision to meet our high standards of craftsmanship.

Step 4: Final Fitting & Adjustments

You’ll try on your garment again to ensure the fit is perfect. Some minor adjustments can be made on the spot if needed. This ensures you leave confident in your finished piece.

Step 5: Pickup & Care

Once approved, your finished garment will be pressed, packaged, and ready for pickup. For special items like wedding gowns, we also offer professional concierge, preservation and cleaning services.

"Absolutely amazing work. I brought in a tuxedo to have tailored for a wedding in 2 days. I was hesitant to use a new tailor; especially on a vintage item; but Arrie in not only extremely knowledgeable, but one of the most polite and professional people in town"
